This guitar was acquired from Bill Kaman’s collection (Charles Kaman’s son) and I bought it directly from Miles (aka Mr. Ovation at [url]www.OvationFanClub.com). I'm selling it only because I need cash to buy either a Carr Rambler or Fender Deluxe Reverb. Specs: The body is Urelite (as used on the Ovation UK-II) a dense foam-like material used in building helicopter parts, over an aluminum core. Bolt-on maple Viper neck. 24-fret ebony fretboard with thin frets, mother-of-pearl position dots. Gold-plated pickup covers and Schaller tuners, 25 1/2 scale length, width at the nut is 1 5/8. 3 passive mini-humbucking pickups (just like in Ovation Preacher and later year Deacons), 3 individual Series-parallel switches, 3 individual on-off switches for each pickup, 2 knobs (1 for tone, 1 for volume). Brass nut and bridge. It weighs 7.2 lbs by itself. Overall length is 39,7 inches, width of the body is 12,9 inches, depth (thickness of the body) is 1,18 inches. The guitar is basically a Glenn Campbell Bluebird model sans fancy Deacon position markers, color and electronics. The guitar is in NOS (New Old Stock) condition as it spent 99,9% of its life in the case. P.S. Since it's in Russia and some folks might be wary of it I can do the following as far as shipping: I can ship it to my friend in NC and then he can ship it to the potential buyer and receive a PayPal payment from him/her (which he will then proceed to wire to me). That is all because of the dumb PayPal rule that you have to have a US bank account to receive payments. Now I have a Russian bank-issued credit card which is attached to my PayPal account and I can make payments but can't receive them. | ||
