Joined: January 2006 Posts: 1484 Location: Michigan | I need to lower the string action on my Millineuim CB and I am concerned about Fu&*ing up something on the guitar. Should I do it myself or take it in? It seems fairly simple but I dont want to get into something that is over my head. Is it only letting the string action off and removing the bridge and remove a shim or two or can there be other issues? Thanks for any advice.GWB

(removing one of the thin shims would be a good starting point) - make sure to replace the angled shims with the thick end at the Bass E side. sure wish I had a camera when I had done this...

I hope the copper side is the one that sits up toward the strings. CrimsonLake check your PM.GWB

All of mine are the same at both ends, no tapers. Oh well....next issue.
