Hi everyone,

I'm new to the site, though I've owned an '83 Collectors Series since about '87.

What's got me excited today, though, is that I just won an auction for a Breadwinner. I shape that I've thought was cool since I first saw one when I was 14.

From what I can tell from the serial number and brass saddles, this is a later one. Probably late '74 or early '75, right?

I don't have it in hand yet, obviously, but I think I got a pretty good deal, based on the pictures. What do you guys think?

Oh, and of course I've been scouring the web finding everything I can on the Breadwinner, and I managed to find this gem (skip to 22:00 for the '70's Breadwinner coolness):

Glad to have joined the site!

Thank you! It should be here Friday. I can't wait.

Does my estimate of when my Breadwinner was made make sense given the serial number, and changes to the pickups and saddles that were made to later models? I've looked at a lot of Breadwinners on the net, and there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of specific date information.

Welcome... E+4 Digits = 1973 (Jan)-1975 (Feb) Solidbodies that's as about as close as you can get unless you run into other people with serial numbers in that range that have original sales receipts to know if yours is in the upper or lower end of that range.
