For us poor dyslexic folks who cannot spell "1537"...

I was outbid on a Celebrity CC267... which is really a poor-man's 1537. I was sad.
Tonight, I just saw THIS
I know that we have discussed these Elites with two-tone epaulets.
So I am hoping that I will discover that these are just plain wonderful.
This has a crack that may-or-may-not have been repaired. We shall see.

I really need to thin-the-herd, but I just couldn't pass this one up.

Back to the "Rough Life".... The ol' Popsicle Stick cleat.

There is also glue splatter on the top, so I will need BFLG advice on removal.
I have not got a real good photo of that glue splatter yet.

Also... What is going-on Here?

See that weird piece of wood? What is it, and why is it there?
Also, this has a Bolt-On neck. Kinda rusty bolts tho'...

The 1537s have that extra layer of wood in the upper bouts, too.

If you paint it a bright red, you'll never even notice the glue...

Oh, THAT piece of wood. It's normal. Just part of the "wood-top Adamas" design, back then.

For glue splatter depends on the glue.

Since the finish is Poly you can try to remove the splatter with denatured alcohol or mineral spirits.

Rubbing Alcohol?

As far as the "type of glue", I would guess "Super Glue".
There is a dollop of glue below the bridge the I would think that someone would have wiped-off if it hadn't dried really quickly... plus it is kinda clear.

denatured, not rubbing. You can get it by the gallon or pint or whatever at the hardware store. I use it for a variety of things. great solvent and cleaner, good for glass too, and even works as marine fuel.

There are commercial products available, for removal of cyanoacrylate adhesives. Hopefully, they don't attack the polyester finish.

I have that extra piece of wood in my 87c which I think I heard Patch say it was maple and that they do not add that any longer. Glue-if its crazy glue, try Acetone
