Location: Taxed To Death State | You guys all act like I don't care about what happened, the great guitars they made down there and all the good people who lost their jobs. I made a statement at the wrong time not thinking it through and now I'm some kind of pariah. I never said the guitars were bad, never said a bad thing about the fine craftsmen who work there, or my friends down there who lost their jobs. I don't even own a Fender guitar for that matter. I get everyone is pissed off but geez cut me a little slack. I don't even own a single Fender guitar. |

Location: Taxed To Death State | Like I said before I spoke out line and apologized. I'm just as passionate about the instrument as anyone else on here. Not sure why I have ended up as the target of everyone's frustration. I can take my lumps but using profanity and insulting me is pretty immature especially when nobody here personally knows me nor what I stand for and believe in, like the World Trade Center comment directed at me, so whatever. I'll always have my Ovation guitars, I'll still play them, still have my friends who worked there and will do my best to preserve the history and heritage of Ovation, the great town of New Hartford where most of my family still resides since 1975. What's next death threats?

Maybe you should apologize for ASSUMING out loud. Admit you didn't know what you were talking about, and then go back and read some of the archived material here so you can find out just who the Kamans are/were, and what they stand/stood for. |

So again I apologize, I was as angry as everyone else and needed to vent and did it without having my facts straight. So if Beal is listening I'm sorry my intent was not to insult you, your father or family. I deserve the FU. If I didn't believe in the product, the engineering and the innovation I would own as many as I do. I don't know what else I can say here except have a good evening everyone. |

Turns out he is good friends with Rob McCloud. I haven't been in touch with Rob in a long time but he's going to hook him up with my email address.
