Looks to be in fairly good shape and the price is great. Probably not a shiny bowl, but for 300 bucks who cares? Ask them to send you a side-on close-up pic of the bridge, then you'll be able to tell if it needs a neck-reset or not. Difficult to tell from the pic but it looks OK. Looks like the machines may have been changed, but that's not a big deal.

Ironically (those who fondly remember Rt35 can attest), about 400 yards down the road was ANOTHER Ovation dealer. Yes THAT was the hey-day. A1-Music was (get this) a combo carpet store and music store. A typical old East Coast brick shop where you walked into a common entry way and then left into the carpet showroom and right into the music shop. It was a hoot. They were the ones who gave me all my Ovation posters. Originally posted by an4340: All those Jersey beach towns have changed, and in both directions. The nice got nicer and the dumpy got dumpier. Still I have great memories of it all and would love to get back there someday maybe as a part time resident. Depends where the kids end up settling. Is it my imagination, or has redbank changed a lot since then. Dave

That was probably list price and I was too dumb to negotiate. As far as I knew back then, list price was what everybody paid except on used cars. 3% sales tax or no sales tax was the standard as far as I knew. I remember going to Denver about that time and finding out that some cities tacked on their own sales tax.
