I'm in a Martin fever these days, so some of my rarest have to leave.

This is a 1547-1, as clean as it can be. Great condition, superb tone. Converted to acoustic only. Since the original saddle was broken (can be seen on the bridge pic) and the old electronics didn't work too smooth, I ripped the electronics out to get the newer reissue ones, but it sounded so much better witrhout, that I left it alone. Knobs are fake now, but an easy fix for those who have newer eletronics and want to have it electric again. With the original knobs.

Sold as is, acoustic only, with new deluxe case. 1.500 Euros or 2,000 USD. Shipping according to the costs, for free in Germany. I am located in Munich, pick up there or in the locality is much appreciated.

PM me if interested, thanks for looking,

Kurt

I have a Takamine EF75 that I would let go as well. PM me for this one as well: CLICK

Beautiful Kurt. The 1547 was my favorite of this series.
Somebody will get a rare and beautiful guitar. Good luck with the sale.

Do you have the Martin you want picked out or can I tempt you?

Thank you, Stephen!

Yeah, I know exactly, what I want, it's already on my radar: The OM-18 Authentic. This guitar haunts me in my dreams. And would be a great companion for my D-35JC, my D-45 and the 00-42SC - so different in nearly every ways.

yes, that OM-18 Authentic is a very nice one.

I have an OM-42 LE made out of Flamed Mrytle (18 of 24) that is just an amazing guitar but it never gets played.

Back on topic.... My 1547 was also sunburst. I can't recall seeing any natural top 1547s but regardless I always thought that Ovations dark sunburst were some of the best bursts produced.

Stephen, there is a 1547 in natural on Jerome's website. I get orgasmic just looking at it. The gas station guy has one as well.....

Hey, Stephen ... post a photo of your OM42, would you?  I think I saw it once, but I can't really remember.   I bet it is devine!

Wow! That is a rare one! I can't remember the last time one actually came up for sale. That sunburst is absolutely gorgeous!

Somebody is going to be very happy to get this, I wish it was me! Good luck with the sale.

Since nobody's interested in my guitars, I'm with Wllla: Stephen, I'd love to see pics of your OM!

Till I got room for another acoustic guitar case I bought an American Standard Telecaster in three-tone-sunburst, by the way.

Best regards,

Kurt

1547 no longer available. For now. Maybe it will show up again for double the price, when "Ovation Guitars get the respect they deserve".

Thanks for looking,
Kurt

I have a pair of naturally finished prototypes in both 1537 and 1547 configuration, although the 1537 carries an Adamas logo on the headstock.  Both bear their manufacturing date in the serial number which was typical for prototypes back then.

Yes, very nice guitar, but I don't like that headstock inlay. The font is too comicy. But, hey, the player only sees the back of the head, so I won't care at the long end.

I would have seen a torch pattern on a highly decorated guitar like this.

Okay, I'm longing for a Martin with a torch pattern. You always want the things you don't have.

Best regards,

Kurt
