Joined: October 2013 Posts: 5 | Hi, I am obviously new and found out the hard way that I needed to post here first in order to gain access to the kingdom. I'm here because I was looking for information on the Ovation I own and want to sell. My goal is to post it for sale here and hopefully find it a good loving home. I have cared for it very well, but now it needs a new home and this seems like the right place to find a good one, since there appears to be a great group of people who appreciate how great of an instrument Ovation guitars are. Thanks, Michael

Also, if you think that you would get more money by selling on the OFC... I am afraid the exact opposite may be true. ![]() You can add a photo or a link to either of the two threads you have already started. Also to find information you can just search through the forums. I have a perfect old legend 1117 that I'd like to sell and I can't seem to be granted permission to post it? Is there something I'm missing about this club? Did I say something wrong???

I'm here because I was looking for information on the Ovation I own and want to sell. Then went away for a week. Since this is not Craigslist or eBay, people might think that you only wanted access to sell your stuff here, since you stated I'm here because I was looking for information on the Ovation I own and want to sell. You are free to look for information here, but access is granted on an individual basis. So it is up to the moderators to decide if you get access. Side Note--- Over at the BC Rich Players Community, their rules state that you must have 20 Posts over a period of time before you are allowed to offer something for sale. That is how they keep their site from being flooded by every person selling a Warlock guitar. Here... The moderators decide who will be a member.

Arthur also gave you very good advise in posting a link to a website where you have it for sale. Any member can click on a link here, though only a few can actually respond to new members. If there's something in particular you are looking to find out about the 1117, shoot.

Joined: October 2013 Posts: 5 | So you are not letting me join the club? Seriously? Because I own many guitars, including a Legend, but because I mentioned that I was interested in selling one, I'm not worthy... @Old Man... I didn't go away. I patiently waited to be granted access to post and reply to other threads, but it never happened. Why don't they just state that if you want to sell a guitar here you are a bad person and will not be allowed to join the club if that is the case. It feels almost racist that you gate-keep others from joining based on some undisclosed and unclear stipulations, but allow the chosen ones to sell instruments and post where ever they like. Who runs this site? Old White Men? Side-note, if more posts should be required, then they would need to allow new users to post. Isn't there some kids soccer ball bouncing through your yard right now? You should go throw rocks at those damn kids instead of helping with your useless comments. I'm shocked at the way this group operates. I have a beautifully cared for guitar that I can sell anywhere and to be honest don't really need to, but I simply thought that I had found a group of people who appreciate Ovations and would appreciate a perfect condition one. As a graduate of Berklee and a collector of fine instruments for the past 40 years, I am disgusted with what I've found here. Real musicians and collectors don't act like this, so clearly there is something else going on here. Please tell the dictators to cancel my account. I will go elsewhere and not speak highly of this group.

I'd like to offer you an olive branch as they say. If you go back and read the notices and rules you received when you joined and/or attached to the top of the "Welcome Center" you would see that your first couple of posts stand as examples of what not to do. We don't know you, and if you look at your posts with an open mind, you come across as someone who just wants to sell their guitar. There are better venues for that. However, had you maybe mentioned that you have several guitars, maybe described the guitar you are interested in selling or been more specific, or specific at all as to the information you claimed you were looking for... this would have been a completely different exchange... The mods are just doing their job. Our site has been around long enough to where we are the target of spammers all the time. Rather than some impersonal form to fill out to get verified, here you are greeted by real people that will do everything in their power to answer questions. If you are a fellow Ovation enthusiast, that usually becomes obvious very quickly you get granted access. So as I stated above, I am offering you an olive branch/do-over. If you want to even start another thread, I will bury this one, or you can respond here. Either way. If you are an enthusiast of Ovation guitars or just want to learn more about them, then you are certainly welcome. If you have questions about your current guitar that you are thinking about selling, feel free to ask them and every effort will be made to get you the info you need. If you just want to sell it and are not really interested in the brand or being part of the group for more than that, you can still ask your question and we will still do our best to answer it. Thanks
