Joined: November 2006 Posts: 2241 Location: Simpsonville, SC | I own the above mentioned Adamas, so take my statement for what it's worth. I have only been playing, again, for the past year and a half, so my expertise is dreadfully lacking. I purchased a UTE about 8 months ago from mtnbikerfred, and find it to be an exceptional guitar. It projects, clean highs and amazing lows, like no other that I have played, BUT, I am not an expert. It is a NO frills Adamas, 12 fret, slothead. Yet recently it seems to be receiving no attention on the For Sale portion of this website. Granted, the 12 fret, finger pickin monster, is somewhat of a (dare I say) niche model, but the past praise belies the lack of attention that it is getting. Am I paranoid, as to it's value, or just to inexperienced, to the worthiness of this (dare I say again) sleeper?! I do have one complaint. My long arms have yet to acclimate to the 12 fret to the body setup (BTW: I am 6'4" with long arms). Is it just my inexperience or is there a problem here? Serious replies would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim

I have owned two of them and somehow have let them slip through my grease coated hands, as every other great guitar I've owned. They are one of, if not THE most sustaining guitars ever to come out of the O factory. I think maybe, just maybe, a lot of newbees don't know just what a UTE is, or just how special it is. What, only 100 in the production run? (If I'm wrong, someone please correct me) I still miss mine at times, but, as you've told me on numerous occasion, "such is the life of a trader" ![]()

If you're not in a desperate position for the $$$, hang on to it and wait for the market to rebound or hang on to it and be glad you didn't sell it, just like I am !!

I cant tell the difference qwhen there amped. Guitars are like golfclubs, theres usually one for every application. I still wish the Ute was blue burst.

Also, the new chant from the Presidential candidates is the slow/slowing maybe a recession economy.
