OK, here I go again.

I spotted a couple of the "Collectors" series guitars on E-Bay and am having trouble finding reviews. I've read some postings here on the "2005" and the "1987" - both very favorable. I've found one on the "1993", but does anyone here have any experience with any of them? Also, were of of these models considered dogs? I've seen the "2005" going in the $800-$1000 range, while GC has a used "1984" for around $450, and had it rated 3 or 4 stars. There's a "1993" under $500, presently, is this a good deal?

Also, while I have seen so many positives on the Elite T, I just don't get overly excited by its appearance. On the other hand, the 1778LX and the 6778LX are really sweet!
Which brings me to my next question:
Someone is selling a 6778LX Standard on E-Bay, however, it has only (1) set of epaulets. I have not been able to find this on the Ovation website. Does this model really exist or is it smoke and mirrors? I would have included pics, but I can't figure out how to attach. I did save them in member access in the photo gallery.
Sorry for the long post!

Well, the sticker says 6778lx. This is first single eppi, natural finish 6778 I've ever seen, but who knows what may roll out of the factory.

I've owned 2 of them, both very sweet players with good tone. I currently have the 12 string version hanging on my wall.

Sure is pretty.

I had a 93 and never really warmed up to it. First I did not care for the P/U at all and it sounded, well more acoustic than my 1992-1868 and I was looking for that sound my 1868 had. I think it was tupp that really liked the 1993 P/U but he liked a Taylor one time also.

I say, go to the Guitar Center Presidents Day sale tommorrow, and see if theyll blow out the 1984, probably well under $400.00. It will be new, fun and the start of your collectors series collection. The next time you see one for $600.00 on ebay, youll either say, "Gee i got a great deal" or "darn, snooze and loose."

The 6778LX is the Vintage Natural finish. I've got one. It's officially a 6778LX-VN. Sounds great, looks great.

Here's mine.
