Ovation tried to capture it with the new scalloped X bracing but I don't think they did (and the new guitars are terrific guitars). Temp's was the first one I ever played after he bought it on ebay and I liberated it from a pawn shop in Hollywood and I was surprised as hell. It was after that that I bought a Deluxe Balladeer"

It doesn't "shimmer" like the 47 but, there are very nice bell-like tones. |

Repaired the top cracks in the DB today... Came out well. The repaired cracks are difficult to see... especially with that distracting PG shadow... But I also cleaned her up and though she ain't a 'SilkPurse'... all things considered, the guitar is in great shape and plays very well. |

Maybe not the purdiest girl at the dance but great shape, plays very well and can STONK when it's called for? I think every collection needs one of these on the wall.
