Location: Miami | Picked up this beauty recently. Unbelievably beautiful guitar - a real work of art - gorgeous sound and wonderful playability. Maybe this is just the honeymoon stage, but I can't think of another guitar I've had that has hit the yeah-baby levels with quite such a ding-ding! in my brain as this one! Anyone else have one?

Location: Jet City | I haven't owned one, but I remember some talk about it. I think Beal may have said something about the angle of the saddle being different than others. I think it was the first mid-bowl too maybe?
I've always liked the looks of them.
Congrats!

Location: Miami | Thanks. Yes, I think you're right about this being the first mid-bowl. The top is a really sleek satin, too, which is less common and, in this case, very appealing to both the eyes and the touch. |

Location: Indiana | The semantics get a bit weird... prior to the super shallow bowl, mid depth bowls were/are called shallow bowls. The first mid bowl I played was an Artist, around '72. My '82 legend X is also a mid/shallow bowl.
Beautiful guitar, Tim. Always loved the black skunk stripe. |

Location: the BIG Metropolis of TR | I have one and yes they are great sounding and playing guitars!
The saddle is canted 15° to the rear causing the strings to put more downward pressure on the top for a louder responce...seems to work!
I host a Friday night musical get together, and we play unplugged and my '93 is louder than any other's (Martins, Taylors, Blueridges, etc)
It's not as loud as my main guitar...'81 Folklore, but the Folklore is a deep bowl....
The V-shaped neck is very comfortable...a nice change from the wide necked Folklore!
I played my '93 about 2 weeks ago...I don't see anyway to post pics in this reply box, but you can view me playing my '93 on my facebook page....
