I think I liked this just a tad bit less than your previous video (The Cunberland Gap?) but both definitely had that PEZ "vibe" to them. |

That song was definitely NOT ready for performing in public. The lyrics need a lot of work, the guitar playing was pretty sloppy, vocal pitch was off, and (not that it matters, but) no one really uses the term "Balladeer" these days. Either needs a complete re-write, or scratched from the playlist. I would not play that song during your Nashville trip. |

Tho it may seem strange to say here, I think the song cries out for a different guitar.
Maybe a Taylor or a Martin.... and of course, a different T-shirt to match the different guitar.

The sloopier than I wanted the guitar was slipping around on me a bit.
Nobody uses term troubadour much but there was hit song with it.

| Yes, George Strait has a fantastic album/song called Troubadour. I believe it won the Grammy for best country album a few years back. |

Location: Ohio | I actually kind of liked it. Your singing is nowhere near perfect, but who cares, you'll get better, find the right key and so forth. Just keep playing with it, it will come. Kind of a cool song. I also liked the use of balladeer, thought it was a cool anachronism. Its pretty obvious that had not practiced that song backwards and forwards (either that or you were nervous as all hell which is totally forgivable), but practice, practice, practice... Listen to Jorge Regula or Steak for Chicken by The Moldy Peaches for proof that songs don't have to be overproduced (or even sang well) to be well liked by many |
