Location: Utah | Ah, gotta love the impulsive actions of four yr old boys! My daughter and her friend had played in church this morning, and carefully placed their precious Ovation guitars back in their OHSC cases behind them before leaving the stage area. They left the cases there, flat on the floor.
At the end of the service, the son of one of the service leaders was waiting patiently for his dad to pack up. When it was time to go, he jumped out of his chair and headed straight for the door. That big black plastic thing in front of him looked like the perfect trampoline, so he did a big bounce right in the middle of it!
All of the adults froze in horror for a moment, and we held our breath as Katie pulled out her nice, nearly-new, black 1778LX, which fortunately was unscathed.
Chalk up one more reason to use a hard case and not a gig bag! |

Location: Portland, OR | Was going to a guitar lesson at our community coll. Was walking through the parking lot and a guy in a pickup didn't see me and turned right into me. Instinctively I lifted my case between me and the truck. Cracked the edge of the case a little bit, but no damage to either me..... or the guitar. |
