| Yesterday, my mother showed up after cleaning out my grandmothers house and she brought me her old guitar. Knowing my grandma wouldn't buy some junky guitar my first thought was A MARTIN!! Well, this ain't a Martin forum....
Anyways, its a cool guitar that probably hasn't been touched in 30 years. 1112-2 and apparently a 1975 model. It has the original reciept $384+$100 for the case with a $120 trade in. A strap, some misc picks, and an unopened package of fender strings.
I've been keeping my eyes open for a classical guitar, so since I have this now I think I'll put some of those M130 silk & steel strings on and use it to work on my finger picking. I've gotta clean it up first of course. The bridge is pretty dry... I live in colorado, so the humidity is typically around 15% except for when it rains, which is never. So I'll humidify it for a week or two before I start playing it much. There's no cracks in the top or anything.
If anybody has any advice or ideas I'd love to hear them. |
