Someone on ebay.co.uk is trying to sell a solid body celebrity with a starting bid of £1,400 ( $2,170 ).

They say it is one of the worlds most expensive guitars in the world and the normal starting price for this model averages £15,000 ( $23,280 ).

Is this person for real or has he escaped from a secure home for the bewildered?

All comments welcome.

Or a REALLY good ad-man. That is a $200 guitar... maybe.
But like anything else it's worth depends on sooo many factors.
But he is right in one respect...
If you buy it at that price you would own "one of the worlds most expensive (cheap) guitars"

HERE it is...

But a man can dream, can't he?

Here's another 'good' ad-man:

Late 60's OVATION Guitar The 820th made !! XLENT COND - $750

From the ad copy: "Serial # is K-820 THE 820th Guitar made !!!"

Here's another winner that I'm sure will have the folks here clamoring to buy.

CUSTOM Ovation 1993 Collectors Series - Custom Painted by Dano Kubat - $10000

Who wouldn't want an Dano Kubat original painting on their 1993 Collectors? 10-grand is chump-change.

There's a little blurb about Dano on the Animation web site:

"Half of the Duck, You Sucker! Prods. creative team, Dano will be presenting The Vegas Collection; a series of paintings he says "take us back to a time when smoking, drinking and womanizing was a ‘fine art’."

An example of Dano's fine art applied to the 1993 Collectors at the link above. It was a little too racy, so I didn't want to post the images here.

OMA and a couple cans of spray paint can make you a fine custom painted ovation. His artistic talent is well known

I was all set to buy that guitar, but then noticed the girl was cross-eyed. Forget it....

So now we're just dickerin on the price?

Yup, the biggest problem being an Ovation Nerd/Snob/Fan is feeling the need to correct all the spoo that you find. Not enough time in the day or Kool-Aid in the jug...
