Location: Miami | I don't know if anyone besides me keeps a check on what Elderly Instruments has on its used section, but until fairly recently there was a 2005 Collectors in excellent condition up for grabs. I grabbed, and it's turned out to be a real gem. Many people say that Ovations truly shine when plugged in, but it's the acoustic voice that I love on this guitar. Add to that the beautiful appointments and inimitable Ovation neck and it's quite a package, especially considering what I paid for it.
Does anyone else have this model? |

Location: Marlton, NJ | I have one. It's actually the 2nd one that I've owned. I sold the first one then missed it so much I had to get another one. I love the neck - slim and glossy. I also love the clean, understated look. To my ears, it's got a nice balanced sound. I'm also a big fan of the contoured bowl. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | I love the 2005. It's the one that (re)started it for me. I had pretty much given up on roundbacks. Uncomfortable to hold and they slip off your knee. But then I tried the 2005 and I was hooked again. Many other contour bowls followed that one into my home. |

Location: Miami | Yes, it's one of those guitars that you just want to pick up and play all the time, it feels so comfortable and sounds so good. Great sparkle and a lovely resonant sound across the bass strings. |
