| I just bought a new CC48 and have a problem with it. The bridge is too high. I took out the only two thin shims underneath the pickup but I still have .025 of excess height. I noticed that this CC48 (I have another CC48 in Minnesota) has a different bridge with individual "steps" for each string, making milling it down difficult.. Has anyone else had a similar problem?
Thanks,
Jim |

| Neck is straight... It's just made with too much height.

You should not have to go through a bunch of crap with a New guitar.

| I cAn't send it back for a refund, so I'm left with repairing it. I emailed Ovation customer support and they told me to order the replacement bridge part. I guess I'll order it and have it trimmed down. |

| A router sounds a bit "over the top", to me, the solution is to machine the bridge insert down a bit. I'll order a replacement and since I have a "machinist friend", have him take the desired distance off the bottom of the insert... It seems a shame, since it's new...
But you look at things, it's the first "lame" Ovation in several that I've owned, and (some) still wished I had...
