Location: NW Indiana		Hi,
Can you give me a brief explination what Ovation model numbers indicate? Martin guitars for example use 00 and 000 for small bodies and "D" for drednaught. I know that the Ovation CC48 is super shallow and the CC44 is medium, but I own a CC48PD and a CS257....the depth and size are virtually the same. Other than the Top wood, they seem to be roughly the same guitar. Any help?

Incidently, I love my Ovations!

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR		CC48PD has a OP4BT preamp and nifty looking Padauk wood.
A CS257 has either a OP-24+ preamp or an OP-30 if you are lucky.
Also, since the backs of all Ovations are Lyrachord...
the biggest difference in sound is Bowl Depth and Top Wood... and what kind of strings.

If you look in the Frequently Asked Questions and Reference section you may find some answers.
But on the Celebrity model, the major difference my be whether it was made in China or Korea.
Some have Solid Wood Tops, some have Laminate (plywood) tops.
There may be different preamps. Or different Price. Or maybe they were made at a different time.
