muzza - 2013-06-07 2:09 AM Defintely the UTE.

gezzzz, spoken like someone who has never been fortunate enough to play an original slothead.

Says who? I've played both. AJ's slothead and Schroeder's utes.

Both sound great.

The Utes are beautiful.

The original Slothead is ugly.

Ipso facto, in my opinion, the Ute's the winner.

Others will disagree. That's OK.

6. The super trio of Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin and Paco De Lucia toured the world with 2 Ovation guitars on stage, who played them and what models were they?

I think Al Di Meola played a Legend and John McLaughlin played a Classic?

Good point. I didn't see that.

I recuse myself.   Need a new question, since I put the turd in the punch bowl.

A local (to the factory area) folk group named the Balladeers received a standing ovation at a local 4-H fair. "Ovation" was chosen for the brand name, and "Balladeer" became the first model name.

Monttexan, that is the correct answer so you won an OFC pick....

Now, here again is the last question:

Who was the country music star that had a TV show featuring him playing Ovation guitars week after week and what model did he play? Name and number.

Well...I know it is Glen Campbell but I can't find the single guitar you're after. I've read numerous articles and posts here at OFC and they all seem to say that he played multiple Ovations. Here's one example http://www.ovationfanclub.com/megabbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=10...

Kansas boy you are right.....Glen played many guitars including the prototype for his own model (1627) and the nylon string Country Artist (1624), and later on an Elite and various Adamas models so, no problem, you won!............

So thqt is it for this contest, all the prices have been won and thanks for all that participated and commented on it, I hope you've learned something new about Ovation guitars and keep on picking. I play my old Legend everyday.
