Well, I out-sniped the sniper and picked up the first 1537 mentioned above. A quick stop here and then I expect it'll be off to the spa for a refret and some fretboard revitalization.

Best of luck for anybody chasing that second one! That one's going to be ready to play right out of the box. Will it go for more or less than this one did?

And thanks again, Vince, for the heads-up!

Congrats dvd. Nice snipin'!! Post a pic when it gets back from the spa. btw - I took a snipe at that 1778 KCG... unfortunately I didn't have a high enough caliber round to bring it home.

I played mine quite a bit this weekend. Even replaced the long dead battery and plugged it in. I almost forgot what great guitars these are.

I am working on the other one. I hope I get it. I already have a 1537, but it needs work and I want one that is in a more playable condition now. Then I can work on the other one without being so anxious. Stay tuned.

Well got sniped in the last 2 seconds. Oh well. I did get the 1619 custom legend the same person was selling so I am happy.

You're gonna be happy with that 1537 (: ... Congratulations! Mario, That 1619 also looks to be in GREAT shape!... most of the older ones I have seen had bellying issues, but that one has obviously been well taken care of. Beautiful Instruments.
