Buckles need help and stickers removed but I think it will clean up nice. This the the guitar that is going inside. My 1968 1111-4. This was my other CL find. I know it is nothing fancy, but it has me playing more and writing songs again. ![]() Edited by TOPDOGJIM 2012-12-31 12:34 PM

He was hand carrying The Phoenix, which is the original 53/54 Les Paul from his original album cover. It was in a totally beat up case. Nobody would even think about wanting to steal it, figuring it was some piece of crap owned by a college student.

I soooo wanted to just touch the case. She had zero idea who Peter Frampton is, being she was only maybe 25 yrs old. At least I got to wish him a "Good Night" as he went past. Celebs don't impress me very much any more but it was a high point for me to have him on board.

It shows him opening a soft case and declaring that it was his guitar. So I guess the beat up case he had on your plane wasn't the original. The CBS Sunday Morning News had the story about him finding out that his guitar had been found after 30 years. Pretty interesting. He said the guitar wouldn't leave his side anymore. When he lost it 30 years before, it had been shipped in a cargo plane that crashed.
