Not to bad of shape, needs a little help but perfect for storage for my old Balladeer. Buckles need help and stickers removed but I think it will clean up nice.

Photobucket

This the the guitar that is going inside. My 1968 1111-4. This was my other CL find. I know it is nothing fancy, but it has me playing more and writing songs again.

Nice! You're either luckier, or just better at finding deals than I. The Balladeer is sweet!

Leave the stickers. They're both pretty cool.

The stickers make good camouflage for the beauty inside. We had Peter Frampton on the airplane last summer going to one of his concerts. He was hand carrying The Phoenix, which is the original 53/54 Les Paul from his original album cover. It was in a totally beat up case. Nobody would even think about wanting to steal it, figuring it was some piece of crap owned by a college student.

LOL...Frampton isn't letting that guitar out of his sight again.

I nearly shat when I saw the flight attendant in the galley holding the guitar case she had just pulled from the closet. I soooo wanted to just touch the case. She had zero idea who Peter Frampton is, being she was only maybe 25 yrs old. At least I got to wish him a "Good Night" as he went past. Celebs don't impress me very much any more but it was a high point for me to have him on board.

I wonder if that was the same case that the guitar was in when he lost it years ago. Maybe he has more than a sentimental attachment to the case, if it saved his guitar.

Yup. It was a late evening short hop from LA to Phoenix. He had just finished his LA area show and was going to his Mesa show the next night.

I watched the Gibson video about him being reunited with his LP that had been lost in a plane crash. It shows him opening a soft case and declaring that it was his guitar. So I guess the beat up case he had on your plane wasn't the original. The CBS Sunday Morning News had the story about him finding out that his guitar had been found after 30 years. Pretty interesting. He said the guitar wouldn't leave his side anymore. When he lost it 30 years before, it had been shipped in a cargo plane that crashed.

Yes the stickers add more mojo for sure. I can only image the music that out of this guitar and case.
