Location: South Windsor Connecticut | I just had to bring this up again..I have bought and sold a few Ovations in the past as none felt quit right. However this one (originally thought to be a beater) after a quick trip to New Hartford is now my favorite daily guitar. It is a 45 year old guitar, and I love it.
That is all fo rnow.. |

Location: South Windsor Connecticut | SN 6361. I purchased it back in 2008 (I think). I saw it on CL for $125.00 (of there abouts) , it was in a card board case that smelled like it was in a fire and then left with dead eggs inside. Even the inside of the guitar smelled the same. There was also a surface crack, a homemade saddle that did not fit and missing strings. I said no then drove off. I waited then called and offered $80.00 which he said yes too. I just kept thinking about all the mojo that must be in that guitar.
I threw away the case, cleaned out the guitar and put it away for a couple of years, then I sent it to New Hartford.
They put in a new saddle, set-up and new strings for $125.00 and the rest is history. Some of the facts are as I remember. The one thing that is awesom is how much this guitar has me playing again. I am writting songs on it and everything else. I have told my daughter that the guitar will be for my grandson, JJ when he is old enough to play. Can you imagine how much mojo will be in it by then?

Funny, Jim, that's exactly what happened to me when I brought my Balladeer home. I play every day, and that's great and all, but I was amazed at how much more I wanted to just because of the new guitar. And I'm learning new stuff, and writing new songs! You suppose it's something about the O, or just having a new instrument in general? Love to see pics when you get them. |
