Today while I was in Raleigh, NC, I dropped by the Guitar Center to check out some of the latest Ovation guitars and was very disappointed in their selection.  They only had two Ovations and they were both low end, very inexpensive models.  So, I went across the street to the Sam Ash store.  They did have about 6 Ovations, but they were all the lower end models too.  The guy at the Guitar Center told me that the higher end guitars get played to death, but nobody wants to BUY them.  So, they hang on the wall for years getting played to death, and when someone finally does show an interest in buying it, they don't what THAT one because it's so beaten up.  *sigh*  I really wanted to try out a Custom Elite and a few Adamas models.
