| Hi,
I'm a newbie here! I've been collecting, buying & selling guitars & luthier stuff for years. In going though some tuners that I bought a number of years ago, I found that one set of Grover Rotomatics have the Ovation logo stamped into the back. I was under the impression the Ovation always used Schallers and wondered if anyone can help shed some light on this.
Once I'm approved as a member of the forum, I'll post some photos of them. |

| I have a full set of 6 of these in really good condition. Any idea what their value is? |

Location: Boise, Idaho | There probably isn't any market to establish a value, so just see what a set of 6 goes for on ebay. The Ovation logo might actually reduce the value, since people with other guitars might not want Ovation tuners.
I replaced a Grover recently and only needed one. It was almost as expensive to buy a single one than a used set of 6, but Grover sent me a new one. This was on a 30 year old guitar that had been used hard by the prior owner. That's a great example of a company standing behind its product. |

| RE; Gold question: Gold tuners do not have gold IN them, they have a very thin layer of gold electroplated ON them...it is a coating of real gold. There are also golden colored tuners (usually found on cheap tuners) that are plated with metal alloys that contain very little, if any, gold, but are golden colored. |
