When the top 1% are all entertainers and professional athletes (may be redundant) we're in a world of hurt. It may be too late.

Talent aside, how could an over the hill pop star like Elton John be making more money than the biggest phenom, Taylor Swift? Just seems weird...

says their estimates are "based on total earnings from record sales, touring, endorsements, merchandise sales and other ventures before subtracting management fees, legal costs and taxes."

Maybe Elton had more profitable "other ventures" than Taylor.

Didn't Elton receive about as much from Muzak as Taylor Swift's total income? When you got a 40-year catalog of top-10 hits, the cash just never stops.
