Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent		As I was leaving church yesterday, a little, elderly woman approached me and made a very kind point to compliment the efforts and abilities of our contemporary choir. She wanted to be certain to talk to me in particular since I play at least two Ovations at nearly every service. (Though in fairness, I should point out that our lead musician also plays Ovations.)

Anyway, it's always nice when I receive an unsolicited compliment about my play, and she was sweet enough to say she really enjoyed my playing in particular. (I tend to "embellish" over the rhythm and melody. ) She then struck up a longer conversation by telling me she had a nephew who plays professionally and LOVES his Ovations.

'Has he been playing professionally for very long?" I ask.

'Oh yes." she says.

"What's his name? I'd love to meet him and talk guitars sometime." I politely continue.

"Al DiMeola..." she beams.

"Really! The next time he comes to visit, tell him we would love to have him sit in for a bit."

And that's the honest truth. Give or take a detail or two.
