Just for the curious, here are some pictures of the guitar I purchased as " kinda' rough " from Guitar Center in Tampa.

You can see some nicks around the bottom.

Here you can see the ridges around the bridge I was worried about.

The top looks good. The top left tuner knob has a rough spot you can feel when tuning. It may have fallen over on that side.

All and all I've gotten very used to it. Nice and bright, but not jangly. it has plenty of low end, when I use a pick or thumb pick. Moving around the strings from near the bridge to near the neck changes the tone distinctly, which is good if I want to change the tone as I'm playing without being plugged in and changing the EQ. Speaking of the pick-up and preamp. It does have a nice sound plugged in. It didn't get too electric sounding and loose some of the acoustic tones I want.

I'm not necessarily worried about those ridges in the top by the bridge. Those are the braces showing through, right? The bridge doesn't look like it is rotating up. I'd be sure it is well humidified, and maybe tune it down a half step to reduce the stress on the top.

So far, I have been. Still trying to work out what I can or can not do with a pair of strings that I could do on one. Bending strings is harder.
