Location: South Florida, USA | Hello,
Last month I responded to an Ebay listing for a 96 Collector. It was being sold in my town so I contacted the seller and met with him. He was asking $750 and I offered $650.00 When I told him that 96 was my Anniversary, he smiled and told me $600 Cash would be fine!!!!!!!!! ( this really happened, no tax or shipping ) Just a great guy!
The guitar literally had never been removed from the case. He bought it for his son who never took up the instrument. Needless to say, I giggle everytime I look at it. It is flawless. The stereo outputs are amazing when used for recording.
However, the finish is so dark I can hardly tell that there is any color in it?
Has anyone else experienced this? I've seen pictures of this guitar in amazing shades of what looks like purple.
There is a photo of the guitar in my Golfmanbil Gallery

Location: Right now? | The 1996C has one of the prettiest finishes ever! It's a true, velvety, rich, deep black cherry. The color of a REAL 'black cherry' that adds a bit of depth to the color, or something. Just gorgeous with the MOP rosette, etc. Karl switched out the tuners on his for chrome colored ones, and it looks really great. Post a few photos of your new baby, so we can SEE IT! Oh ... and congratulations! Willa
