Just thought that I should Share That.

I just got a New-to-Me guitar and I was cleaning-it-up and all...
Changed the Strings, Oiled the Fingerboard cuz sharp Fret-ends were sticking-out..
Adjusted the Tremolo-springs (non-O)... And was ready to play.

But there was this annoying buzz on the open "G" string...
So I checked the frets and nut height, adjusted the truss-rod.. Still Buzzed!

Then I discovered that I could get the same buzz by playing a "G" on the D string...
and the A string... Same buzz not as loud!

So after checking for cracks, neck-bolts, back plates, truss-rod rattle, spring rattle and everything else that I could think of...
I did what I should have done First!

I tightened the the Ferrule-nut thingies on the Tuners...
Hence the Title of this Thread.

Is the Ferrule nut thingies the screw on the end of the tuner, which I had to tighten on my Patriot or the screws that hold the tuner to the guitar. Reason I ask is I have never heard that term before, need to expand my vocabulary.

These thingies that hold the tuner in...

I imagine the washer is what made the buzzing sound...
Vibrating harmonically with a "G" note.
