Location: Texas | John, it may not be prudent or wise, but I have made several LD purchases off CL that were fantastic guitars at good prices, that they shipped. In fact, I just purchased a beautiful Mark IV Guild from a gentleman in NY, that I found on CL. Of course, there have been many I have passed on, for the obvious reasons, but if you ask the right questions, visit with them by phone and make sure you pay by credit card...imo, it makes purchases considerable.
I am sure everyone's mileage varies for this type of risk. But you can bag some (very) decent deals on CL, just because most folks dismiss considering buying them because of the inherent CL scam factor. |
