This was removed from an Adamas that I have. It sounded great. Can anyone identify the maker of this under soundeboard pickup?

It's a Schatten HFN, made in Canada. I sell them in the UK, they are exceptional. Their resonator pickups are the best on the market. I do a lot of business with thier bouzouki and mandolin pickups. Great company, fantastic products.

Paul,

How do they compare with the K & K pure western mini?

I'm thinking of putting a USB in an old 12 string I have.

They're comparable tonally, but appear to have a somewhat higher feedback threshold. Compared to say, a Fishman undersaddle or a Baggs I-Beam I think Schatten are far superior. Their double bass, mandolin and bouzouki/mandola pickups are amazing. I have an HFN in my 68 Deluxe Baladeer and it sounds great. Very different to an undersaddle. Not a sound that's any use to me onstage, but still a great sounding pickup.

Thanks Paul.

I have a K & K in a Martin. Works well but you are right about feedback especially at higher volumes. I keep mine down a bit and watch my amp/monitor placement.

I don't need this one. Looks like a new one is about $100. Any fair offers?
