Joined: September 2011 Posts: 402 Location: New Hartford CT | MWoody great timing - I have a question regarding shiny bowl models only: did all of the Balladeers from this era have a 2pc neck and that early style rosette while the Deluxe Balladeers had 5pc neck and the larger inlaid rosette? Or was it the case that they simply built them with what was available and standards hadn't been set in stone yet? What a find! Good job. | ||

And I was (somewhat) proud of myself for finding an old (10/26/80) Applause AF-15 12-string, somone had stripped the top laminate veneer off of, with ostensibly an unused aluminum fretboard. What I can't figure out is, there's no hole in the saddle slot for the piezo pickup, and there is the FET preamp on the critter. I don't think it came with pasties. Great job, Michael. I am turning a lovely shade of green. Looks like there will be some entries in the BFLG forum, over the next few months. | ||

Joined: January 2009 Posts: 1249 Location: Texas | Geo...my 67 Balladeer #485 has a two piece and #1911 has a 5 piece. But I have seen more 67 Balladeers with the 5 piece, than two. The Deluxe B always seem to have the 5 piece and the bigger inlaid rosette.
