Hello Folks,

It's been a while since I posted in this forum due to a lack of progress in restoring my Balladeer, and work on a different project...but...I never stopped learning while I was away. In the meantime, I've acquired a new/old applause from my cousin and I will be bringing home an Ovation amp that was gifted to my brother. (He doesn't want it because it's kind of LARGE for his room!)
The Applause is kind of unique because from what I can tell, the part number reads like it's a natural finish, but it's actually a "burst". The aluminum fret board is in great shape too but the top has many cracks in the finish. (I think I like them though! Makes it look antique) The bridge was off when I got it but I've repaired it and found that it's really a nice playing instrument.
The amp appears to be funtional but I haven't brought it home yet...My brother says it doesn't sound right to him but he is also not sure how to use the settings (one of the settings is listed as "acid rock"...kind of a cool 70's term don't ya think?!)
Anyway...don't want to make this too long...I'll post pics when I remember how.
Thanks for reading!

Rick C.
