Location: GATLINBURG TENNESSEE :) | Now that I have this Baritone guitar, I have been wanting to experiment with alternate tunings. I'd really like to start with open tunings, but I can't find any real guidance for baritone guitar applications. I've put heavier, baritone strings on it because they resonate so much better on the lower notes. I'm a bit concerned about any possibility of popping the bridge off. Is this a legitimate concern?
Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | Brozman uses an open G which turns out to be open E because of the lower tuning. The bass string is B and it goes fro there. The thing is that then you can play easily with someone in standard tuning. |

. . you're saying that you tune it "like" OpenG, but instead of basing everything on that bass string tuned to D, you're tuning it to B?? |

Location: GATLINBURG TENNESSEE :) | Let me know how it goes StoneBob. I can't get off work for a while, but I want to get home and try'er out also. I like the key of E, and it sounds like you could also modify it to Em.
Thanks Beal
Any other ideas out there? |

Location: closely held secret | I'll have to try that too. I need to get some real baritone strings, I'm just using mediums right now. |
