mileskb - 2012-03-17 5:17 PM I thought The Lettermen version of Light My Fire at the time, and contectually is/was actually better than the Doors
Pat Boone's version of Purple Haze BLOWS Hendrix's version out of the water, and Boy George's take on Back Door Man was very credible

You obviously overlooked Celine Dion's take on "You Shook Me All Night Long". A true classic

I gotta admit... I was impressed with the gal doing to the Berry (or Young) "duck-walk" in 5+ inch heels... Nice to see Meredith Brooks doin her thing too. The tune... well.. it is what it is and they looked like they were having fun.

Don't sell yourself short. Start with your 3" heels, then work your way up to your CFM heels.

I'm always late to the party. My take on doors is that they're great for security and keeping the weather out.
Somebody had to say it :€

When I was younger I could only listen to the doors after smoking a joint or two. But to drive in a car or just sit in my room and listen to them, not high, I didn't like them.

Rush was also a 3 piece band.

Not a big Doors fan. I usually like about any band. For some reason I just couldn't get into these guys. Part of it was Morrison's narcissim. Great band though.
