I have a 1982 legend 12 string model no. 1656, I've had a preamp problem since I bought it even when you're plugged in to the mono socket and bring the tone control round to 'bass' you lose half the stereo signal (only every other pair of strings sounds). I know the pick up is ok as when on full treble I get all the strings sounding.
My question is may be after a major accident or upgading your preamp has anyone got an old style stacked tone / volume control lying around please I'll gladly pay up if cheap enough.
I keep meaning to try and fix it but when I pick it up I start playing it and wham ! 3 hours later its too late to start the job....... She's a great old girl !
Finally anyone know how to cure an old case that won't shut - well it does if I sit on it !
