All these alternative designs are good for those who just hang their guitars on the wall, but for people who strap them on and play them, they don't really work that well.

The problem with that guitar is the nut size is too small.

Perfect! I'll buy one!

Actually, one with that print would be a great "sign in" board for a gathering.

Well if we're going that direction, why not just have a Mood Guitar?

"Mood Guitar?" Now that is something I would buy and play. Have the whole top made of some heat-sensitive color changing material. I can't believe it would be that hard to create.. http://www.matsui-color.com/ has the ink/paint already.

I agree with many of you that simple & subtle would be better, and that the guitar is more of an art piece than anything else. So no, I wouldn't buy it. I am glad Ovation had a contest for this, as it does make the name known around the guitar circles.

If they really wanted a better selection, they should have a) open it up to more countries than just US, and/or b) have the contest in conjunction with an artist site, like deviantart.com.

I also think that "Kids" respect the same things as we do... Things that actually look Good.
The "Kids" don't like that stuff... Just some marketing whiz Thinks that the kids will like this stuff.
That is the kind of crap your Mother buys you cuz she wants to be cool.
Like the phony hippie crap that Coca-cola and VW tried to push on us in the 70's.

That sounds about right to me anyway.

Nah, I wouldn't buy one. But hey, it got 4336 viewer votes.

Ovation must've sold enough of those Ashba Celebrities to make it worth their while.

These designs kinda remind me of some windsurf board graphics. Wild, wacky and eclectic.
