Location: East Tennessee | I practiced the music we will be doing for Sunrise Service on Easter. Decided a 6 string wasn't going to cut it. Got to be a 12 string. The temperature is going to be 35-40 degrees so I'm not going to use my 1758. I could use my Martin but did not want any tuning issues. What to do.
I went to the closet and pulled out my 1972 Pacemaker,(1115), and man after a year in the case and 2 year old strings it was IN TUNE and sounded like a cannon when I played it. I had forgotten how great that guitar really is.
Needless to say it will be a while before it goes back in the closet. I'll be off to the Music Outlet for a set of strings and remind my self of the joys of stringing a 12 string slothead. I might even post a picture tomorrow if it will stop raining. |

Location: the BIG Metropolis of TR | I've owned a 1115-1 and a 1615-4
Both were '81's
They're both "gone but not forgotten"......wish I had another, they sound full and rich!
My current 12 string Legend (1866-4) shallow bowl sounds O.K. but it doesn't ring with that harpsichord sound of the Pacemakers.... |
