Location: South Central Louisiana--cajun country!!
I am looking at purchasing a 1655 Custom Balladeer 12'er and can't get a specific
description of the electronics. In the photo I can see a volume knob on the upper side close to the neck.

If anyone can point me to where I can get the info or make suggestions for possible modifications, that would be great.

I think this guitar has the old single- or stacked-knob electronics. I've upgraded a lot of them to the OP-PRP-series. You can find pictures on my ning page, link below.
