I was just looking at the new Ovation/Adamas catalog which I picked up at the NAMM show. Interestingly, an Adamas I in black is listed at $3699. An Adamas I in blue burst is $400 more. The paint costs an additional 4 bills?

I'm no wizard, but that sounds like $300...not $400

I'll do it for $77.50 (you pick the color and buy the paint)

LOL...

I'd have twice my post count.

Gone are the days of charging just a touch over what it cost to make a guitar. The successful model today (guitars, barrel of Oil, etc.) is to charge what you think you can get away with.

Also, it may relate to the "Pull Order" system that (Like Henry Ford's) makes standard runs standard.

I'd go with Arthur... he's the most honest salesman/street musician I know...
