Joined: December 2008 Posts: 1453 Location: Texas | I recently received my nice new official OFC guitar strap, it's very cool, way more comfortable and better-looking than any of the cheapies I've used for many years… …thanks Al! Here's a close-up shot: Oh, yeah, I also got a nice new matching "strap holder" too, THANKS AL!!! ;) : It matches the strap pretty nicely, dont you think? ;) Seriously, I really can't say enough great things about the 2080. It sounds rich, full, and plenty loud unplugged. From heavy strumming to gentle finger-picking, it just sings. Plugged-in, the VIP (my first) is flexible enough to get an amplified version of a similarly nice, rich clean sound if you take a little time adjusting it, plus there are some interesting variations, and you control the mix of the DSP versus the straight signal, so you can avoid that "digitally processed" sound (unless you want it.) A search of the archives will find plenty of discussions about the VIP, but so far, I like it… (except for needing to plug something in just to turn on the tuner, that is a strange "feature" not necessary on the OP-Pro…) ;) It is much better-looking in person than I expected, (and it has a great personality.) ;) From the online photos, I thought it looked like it belonged on The Jetsons, but it is actually not as retro-futurisitic as the photos lead me to believe. It is a subtle, even refined look. I am very happy with it… Anyway, if you are even remotely considering one of these, contact Al now… I mean right now… (…go on, I'll wait right here, I've got a nice guitar to play while you are away…) | ||
