Location: Indiana | Back in the 60'sand 70's Leslies were mainly use with organs(Hammonds). Best examples of the different sounds(speeds) I can remember would be maybe the intro to "Chest Fever" from Three Dog Night Captured Live at the Forum or the solo in REO Speedwagons "Roll with the Changes." there are other examples, of course. Some guitar players also used Leslies back then too. Jimi Hendrix and Joe Walsh (James Gang) come to mind.

| Miles that Keyboard might have been a Nord?
If anyone is planning on finding one of these to experiment with? Remember they weigh only slightly less than the B-2's they were designed for and they are real pricey too.
There are a bunch of these Leslie sims now. I have heard one of newer (cheaper) multi effects amps that had the Leslie as an option in the Cab selectons. It was pretty good for what the amp was. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Like most of the effects on my amp, I haven't figured out what to do with it. I need a manual that tells me where to set it for Santana, Clapton, etc. Same thing for the guitars. |

Location: Michigan | I know what you mean,I had a Crate effects amp that I just had to have and it had 15 different settings on it for all the effects from the 1950's to year 2000 and I sold it because it was just to much learning to keep resetting the effects to try and sound just like the artist I was playing.
GIVE ME A GOOD REVERB,CHORUS,FUZZ and I will make anything sound good to me,and I am the only one that I want to impress.GWB |
