Location: Copenhagen Denmark | Hey Wayne ,
Thanks for getting back to me , I understand the importancy of protecting Wood ,sure , but I`ve tried a Martin with " Satin -finish " , and I liked that " feel " , very smooth , then I came to think of JBL vintage loudspeaker -cabinets , where in the old days they would hand -rub them with Walnut oil , so I was wondering if that could be done to ( would protect ) the neck , as I have No -idea , what is being used to achieve a " Satin -finish " on guitars , the reason for all this is , that my hand seems to " cling " to the present finish , soo...any thoughts / recommendations ? :)

Location: Los Angeles | I think I saw an Ovation at Guitar Center with a satin finish. The folks at Ovation answered my finishing question via email pretty quick. Perhaps they can help. I didn't put 2 & 2 together until just now! I'll bet they can help.

Location: Los Angeles | Also, if anyone does recording on their PC, I've got a new page up with a pretty cool set-up for a dedicated studio. No need to spend a bunch of bucks for a new PC if you're on a budget like me.

Location: Los Angeles | It sure would! I have two guitar buds that use hard drives with USB connects. They work great.

I should also mention that you want to be able to boot from your USB device and that no other programs are running in the background that you don't need. That's why I like the drive bay set up as there is only one drive running when I'm recording and the only program on the drive is for recording. |

Location: kansas | What was the final height of the strings at the 12th fret?
I'm working on a saddle on my O and its at 3/32" at the 12th fret and that's too hi..
I'm going to try for 5/64" at the bass E and 2/32" to the hi-E. |
