I just noticed some hairline cracke in the treble epi on my Adamas 1681 (1989). These cracks are so fine that I can't really see them but, I can feel them. They go between two holes and are only in the thinnest septae. I was thinking about using some reaaly thin CA glue but I'm not sure how to keep any excess glue from getting on the wood. Any suggetions. Is this something only Mother can fix?
God bless,
Steve

I fixed two small cracks in the Epis of my 1597 like that. Hold the guitar with the face vertical, and approach the crack with the tip of the glue bottle from the top side and let it drip/wick into the crack. Have a tissue handy but it shouldn't be needed unless you have a spurting problem. :p

I've had epi's curling, cracking, and even chipping off on some Elite's that I've gotten off the bay... I just used wood glue, and pressed/clamped them down and wiped away the excess with a damp rag before it fully cured.

I'm pretty sure you could do the same thing with CYA, on an Adamas... I believe I recall someone here saying that nail polish remover or acetone doesn't affect the finish.

others here might know better than I do though.

just my .02 YMMV

Use some fret board oil on them. It keeps them looking nice and they won't dry out.
