Location: Utica, NY | Since I cannot locate a 'local' service center and have not received a response from Ovarion customer service I am now here to hopefully get an answer. How can I get the XLR option added to my Op-Pro equipped guitar? Can I just but the jack and install it myself? Part number? Cost? The connection is on the pre-amp I just need the part and I am good to go. Thanks. |

Location: Scotland | You'll need contact Customer Service and buy a replacement output PCB which carries both the 1/4" and the XLR. The PCB has the circuitry for the phantom power facilty. This connects to the preamp can with a multi-pin block plug. You then need to drill the hole for the XLR and it's mounting bolts in exactly the right place, which is not as easy as it sounds unless you already have an XLR-equipped guitar from which you can make a template. |

Location: closely held secret | Paul's right on all counts. CS can set you up with the PCB which has both jacks mounted on it.
You already have the 1/4" hole, you just need to make the hole for the XLR. Oh, and it has to be pretty much perfectly accurate because the XLR has 2 tiny mounting screws very close to it. Just make sure you're looking at it from the right angle so you don't mount it backwards...

Location: Utica, NY | Thanks for this. My board appears to have a multi pin plug made for the XLR that would not be to the circuit board as the above pic shows. It looks almost as if there would be an add-on XLR w/cable that would simply plug in to the OP-PRO board I already have. If no such part exists I am not worried about the install and accutarely drilling the appropriate holes. |

Location: Utica, NY | Just an FYI, I called Kim at Ovation and he was extremely nice and very helpful. My XLR pcb abd ribbon cable are OTW to me for what I feel is a very good price. Now looking forward to the install. Thanks to all who posted and to Kim at Ovation. |
