I like knowing what a guitar is worth so that I know how much to not sell it for.

OK folks, I am not selling this guitar. It is for sale for $1000. My post was to find out if anyone had any idea of what these sold for. I found a couple of posts on the classified adds here and some ebay sales that did not complete so they really don't mean anything.

This is not a hypothetical question. Nor am I fishing to find out what "my guitar" is worth. I read they retailed for between 2-3k but that was suggested retail and we all know how that works.
Then there is the resale, some models hold their value better than others, as we all know and I dont know where this particular model fits in. From the best I have been able to determine(thanks to a couple of PMs) the going rate for one in good shape should be 1200 to 1500. But hey the ebay ones never approached that. Sooo it sounds like a nice deal, not a great deal or a steal but fair for the market.
