We took the guitars up for the first weekend of the summer (although Michigan's Upper Peninsula does not really know summer for another month or so). The added bonus is that my son has recently started to play so we had some campfire fun.

Used to spend our family vacations up by Sidnaw. Still was cold at night, even in August.

Pretty nice "Campfire Guitar", Rich.
Does your son like the same kind of music as you,
or is he limited to what you teach him?

From Tepee lake to the south to Prickett dam & the Sturgeon River gourge(beautiful)to the north
I love that area.
Greater Sidnaw consists of "134 people and 19 bird dogs," according to Duncan Township supervisor Warren Jenkins

and more horse and deer flies than any other living thing. I've never been bit by so many bugs anywhere else.

Yea we share the same tastes in music. It it funny that both my kids and their cousins all like the same music as me and my bros in law. Our Ipods all look the same :)

He just started a couple of months ago and will probably pass me up in a year just like his cousins!

I should add that I like their stuff too. I am learning "New Slang" by the Shins to play at our next family reunion with my nephew (Rasche) :

I love their cover of "Sounds of Silence"

I am also still working on Alice's Restaurant and some other old fart stuff.
