Hi,

I know they have different specs, amps, bowls, nut width, bracing, age, etc, etc, etc but that aside is one loads 'better' than the other, i.e. are they on a par with each other in the product matrix.

I know it's hard to comment as they are so different but imagine if Ovation brought both out together today as new would one be superior in tone/workmanship/generally.

I plan to use unplugged for personal use and plugged in for recording. YES I know a $40,000 classical guitar would be better but that's not the question, the question relates to just these two.

Thanks!

I think you just need to try them both. How to do that when your stuck on an Island, can't help.

Tone -- 1763 would sound better acoustically.

Workmanship -- no difference

Generally -- depends on what you're looking for. 6773 has a narrower neck and 2 more frets to work with. Both would sound good plugged in.

It's very much a personal preference.....
