A guy that I work with mentioned to me that these guys are just getting into the string business:

Aurora Strings

I don't have any personal connection to them, but the guy I work with knows the sales rep. Anyway, I asked him for some samples that I could pass along to good test group.

For whoever wants to try them, this is what I have:

Acoustic:

Gold 12 - 54
Red 13 - 56
Gold 13 - 56
Blue 12 - 54
Mixed 11 - 50

The way it'll work is first come, first served. PM me with which set you want (1 per person) and your shipping address and I will get them out to you.

I'm going to limit this to the continental US to keep shipping costs down.

All I ask is for some good feedback that I can pass along to the Rep.

I'm an EJ16 kind of guy, so I'm just going to try the one set of electric strings that I've got.

When you PM - give me your second choice as well, in case the 1st one is already taken.

I'm pretty sure these guys have been in the Fubar hall at NAMM last couple of years, I have a bunch of samples I've not used yet.

Pretty much. Hall E at Namm used to be known as "inventors alley" and before the "Chinese Invasion" was always full of small, independant non-corporate companies that would be showing either totally f'up shit or very cool stuff (I demo-ed there for a coupla years with G-band, the jury is still out) The first time I met a certain individual with the initials KK we were invited to join him "trawling the Fubars" and we've referred to it as such ever since

Oy vey - I made a mistake.

The Gold 12s are actually Silver 12s. The 13s are Gold.

So far everyone who has PMd me has asked for the gold 12s as their first choice - Murphy's Law in action???

Everyone's 2nd choice was the blues - so either way, the blues are gone.

For those that PM'd me for the Golds, PM me back and let me know if you want the Silver instead. I will keep the same order intact.

Sorry for the confusion.

All that's left are the mixed 11s.

Reds - Bobbo
Blues - Iffy
Gold 13s - BT717
Silver - ProfBB

I'll send them out over the next few days.
